The Ashes Toolkit
A digital toolkit created to empower recreational cricket clubs nationwide.
Over the summer of 2013 the ECB wanted to use the pulling power of the Investec Ashes Series 2013 to inspire engagement and generate revenue at recreational cricket clubs nationwide.
The ECB developed a strategy to deliver this initiative using Club Open Days where individual clubs would host events inviting members and non-members to support England, get involved in the club and have some fun.
To support this we designed and built the Ashes Online Toolkit which provided the clubs with the marketing resources to reach out and connect with their local communities. Using the #RISE for the Ashes brand we created posters, leaflets and digital assets that the clubs could personalise with their own crests, sponsors and club colours.
The Club Open Days initiative enjoyed great success in local communities across the country, it generated revenue, attracted hundreds of volunteers and helped to raise the profile of recreational cricket nationwide.
