Graphics Planet Brand Identity
Graphics Planet are a creative agency specialising in spatial branding with high profile clients in the sports sector.
The company brings together many years’ experience to deliver evolved visual communications for its blue-chip client base. They strive for innovation in everything they do and their new brand identity was no exception.
From the outset Graphics Planet wanted to stand apart from the accepted visual language of the print world. If you’ve ever sourced a large format print provider you know how it is! That directive along with their desire to bring their name to life in a unique way set us on the pathway to the right creative space.
To get going we used the following characteristics to guide our process further:
As we worked we ensured we could put a tick next to all of the above. This led us to create a brand impregnated with these drivers as well as colour, personality, originality and stand out.
The solution features a highly evolved ‘planet’ shape built from interwoven lines (suggesting accuracy / printing / registration) sitting above lettering that is simply but boldly set.
Using the ‘planet’ shape we created detailed textures to underline the brand’s sophistication and depth, these also create variety as the identity rolls out across promotional activity.
The identity launched during the first quarter of 2015.
